Meet Jason
Brooklyn's Own
Born in Panama and raised in Brooklyn, Jason Wallace has been telling stories since childhood, when G.I. Joes embarked on epic adventures across his living room floor. A standout athlete at Brooklyn Technical High School and McNeese State University, Jason went on to play professional basketball in France, Chile, and Saudi Arabia, coming within reach of the NBA through an opportunity with the New York Knicks. His basketball career opened unexpected creative doors, including a role in Spike Lee's He Got Game and a long-standing relationship with Nike, where he contributed to eight commercials and twelve global campaigns in a strategic and consultative capacity.
After earning his MBA from Purdue University, Jason built a career at the intersection of storytelling, marketing, and film. He helped transform Foot Locker's social media presence through culture-defining content and has since produced and directed projects for brands, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations while pursuing original films and series of his own. Whether behind a camera, developing a campaign, or documenting the human experience through photography and running, Jason is driven by a simple belief: great stories can change how people see the world. An accomplished endurance athlete with 18 half marathons, 3 marathons, and a triathlon to his name, he continues to share his journey through filmmaking, photography, and storytelling, all while pursuing his ultimate goal of winning Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Director.
